This app is built by an independent developer. It collects as little as it can, and there is no account to create.
On first launch the app generates a random identifier and stores it on your device. It is sent to our proxy with each practice turn, purely so the free allowance can be counted. It is a random value: not your Apple ID, not an advertising identifier, and not linked to your name, email or device model. The only thing stored against it is a number — how many turns you have used.
Deleting the app deletes the identifier, and a fresh install generates a new one.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. The app never sees your payment details. To check that a subscription is active, the app sends Apple's signed transaction to the proxy, which verifies it against Apple's certificate. That transaction identifier is used to count monthly usage against the fair-use limit, and for nothing else.
Khuu Sawm's own proxy does not retain your conversations — a turn is forwarded, the reply is returned, and nothing is written down. However, Anthropic, whose API generates the replies, may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days under its commercial API policy, with longer periods where required for safety enforcement or by law. Anthropic does not use commercial API data to train its models by default. See Anthropic's retention policy and its policy on training data.
Usage counters hold only a number against your random device identifier, or against Apple's transaction identifier if you subscribe.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and nothing it collects is designed to identify anyone. Note that what a learner types or says is sent for grading, so children should not enter personal details into the practice box.
Delete the app. That removes your progress, your settings and your device identifier, and the usage counter held against that identifier is then attached to nothing and expires on its own. There is no account to close, because there is no account.
Two things are not ours to delete: text already sent to Anthropic falls under its retention policy above, and your purchase history belongs to Apple.
If you subscribe, manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Purchases are handled by Apple, so cancellation and refunds go through Apple.
